ABOUT
I am deeply curious about the fusion of communicating ideas through visual form and inspiring environmental action.

Graduating from Bowdoin College in Brunswick, Maine with a major in Earth and Oceanographic Science I loved gaining a deep understanding of earth systems processes and the crisis of our time: climate change. However, is through art as a visual medium to tell stories that I felt like I could ignite these understandings into action.

Receiving a Kaempfer Grant going into my senior year, I produced my first solo gallery Migration highlighting the migratory route of the Bar-tailed Godwit as well as my own migrations through "landscapes I called home" during my four years of undergrad.
Upon graduating, I received a Thomas J. Watson Fellowship and spent the next year pursuing my curiosity of how people around the world make home in harmony with their surrounding landscape and community - looking deeply into the social ecology of home (particularly in nomadic communities).
Even when we didn't share language, I was able to communicate through sketches and collaborated making illustrations for several local colleagues in each of the 13 countries I visited that year.
I have always prioritized community and connection with people and it is through my work as a visual artist that I continue to enjoy exploring more avenues of how to communicate and inspire through visual form.
